Smoller Suzuki Piano Studio
To Begin Lessons...
Children aged 4 and up can learn to play the piano. The first step in pursuing Suzuki lessons is to begin observations. Observing another child's lesson for a period of three to four weeks gives the parent and child time to experience the teaching environment in an indirect way. This also gives the student time to listen to the piano recordings at home, the "language" of piano playing. Students come away from this observation time with a positive outlook and a high level of motivation by the time they begin their own lessons. Observations can continue for as long as necessary and there is no charge for this time period. Parents will also need to meet with the teacher before we start lessons to understand more about the Suzuki philosophy and the role of the parent.
